WASHINGTON — Federal food safety officials are warning consumers to throw away or return certain ready-to-eat pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe's that may be contaminated with listeria bacteria.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara Sauce sold in 12-ounce clear plastic trays and Trader Joe's Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettucine Alfredo sold in 16-ounce trays.
The Marketside meals have "best if used by" dates ranging from Sept. 22 through Oct. 1, 2025 and were distributed to Walmart stores nationwide. They are labeled with establishment numbers "EST. 50784" or "EST. 47718" inside the USDA inspection mark.
