MOREHEAD, Ky. (WKYT) - Tow truck operators from across the commonwealth commemorated the one-year mark of the tragic death of tow truck operator Troy Caldwell.

Since his death, operators have been advocating for changes to the law that would better protect them as they work roadside.

“When you have a four-inch white line that separates life from death and you walk it every single day, people just don’t understand, and that’s where we work, that’s our office every single day,” Owner and Operator of Bubba’s Towing and Recovery, Bubba Johnson, said.
