Tommi Valente scored her 30th career goal and Ella Guarini recorded seven saves to help DePaul, No. 14 in the NJ.com Top 20, defeat Lakeland 3-1 in Wayne.

After a deadlock at one going into halftime, DePaul scored twice in the second half to win its third straight game.

Jaelynn Perez and Bella Ricca also scored for DePaul.

Lakeland is now 5-2 following its second consecutive loss.

DePaul is also 5-2 and rides a hot stretch into an intriguing matchup against Passaic Tech (also 5-2) on Saturday.

The teams met twice last season. DePaul won both games 7-0.
