Jaipur, Sep 26: Rajasthan Police’s CID (Intelligence) unit on Thursday arrested Hanif Khan, a 47-year-old resident of Basanpeer Jooni, Jaisalmer, on charges of espionage for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI. Khan is accused of sending confidential military information in exchange for monetary gain.
Dr Vishnukant, IG CID, stated that the Intelligence team has been actively monitoring espionage activities in the state. During surveillance, Khan’s suspicious activities were identified, including regular contact with Pakistani handlers via social media.
