WICKENBURG, Ariz. — A major highway northwest of Phoenix is closed, according to officials.

The US 60 is closed in Wickenburg because of a crash at milepost 116, which is approximately five miles east of Wickenburg, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed to 12News that there is one fatality in the crash. No other information was released.

Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route and expect delays.

There is no estimated time for reopening the highway.
