On his first day on the job, a 24-year-old Akron man faces felony charges after misusing a Bainbridge Township man’s car, cash and credit card during a Sept. 10 spending spree.

The resident, who requires in-home care, had asked the nurse to buy alcoholic beverages for him.

He loaned him the keys to his car, $200 in cash and a credit card if needed to complete the errand.

The resident fell asleep, waking up hours later to numerous fraud alerts on his phone, totaling $1,550.

His car was also missing.

In the afternoon, he called the healthcare services company employing the worker, and later called police at 7:15 p.m.

At 9:30 p.m. the nurse returned with the car, but missing $80 of the $200 -- and the liquor.

Police arrested him for unaut
