Perhaps the best outcome of the Jimmy Kimmel story is that the term “conservative” may at last be recovered from Donald Trump and his MAGA extremists. Sen. Ted Cruz and others may have begun the recovery effort by condemning Trump and his Federal Communications Commission chairman for dangerous disregard for the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. That may be the first step in a trend that’s long overdue.
