Three people were rushed to hospitals Thursday evening following a serious two-car crash in Attleboro, the city’s fire department said.

Firefighters responded to the crash near 75 Read St. around 5:15 p.m. and found that two cars had collided, causing heavy damage to both vehicles, the Attleboro Fire Department said in a press release . Crews had to use the Jaws of Life to free a person who was trapped in one of the cars.

A man in his 20s was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with serious injuries, the fire department said. A 17-year-old girl and a 55-year-old woman were taken to Sturdy Hospital in Attleboro. The fire department did not say how badly they were injured in the crash.
