Low-pressure system over Bay of Bengal likely to bring heavy showers; citizens urged to remain alert

The weather crisis in Maharashtra is far from over. A fresh low-pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal, and its impact is expected to bring heavy rains to several parts of the state between September 26 and 28. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that the monsoon will not withdraw from Maharashtra before October 5.

On September 26, South Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada districts, including Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, and Nanded, may see increased rainfall and cloudy conditions from noon onward. The rest of Vidarbha and Marathwada are also likely to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate showers.
