The weather crisis in Maharashtra is far from over. A fresh low-pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal, and its impact is expected to bring heavy rains to several parts of the state between September 26 and 28. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that the monsoon will not withdraw from Maharashtra before October 5.
