NEW DELHI: The Patiala House Court on Friday reserved its order on the anticipatory bail plea of Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati. The court said the order will be pronounced either in the evening or on Saturday. During the hearing, Delhi Police opposed the bail, stating that the accused has been on the run for the past month. The police also informed the court that Chaitanyananda had claimed to be a UN representative. The bail plea is in connection with a forgery case. According to allegations, the accused illegally withdrew Rs 60 lakh from an institute’s account and possesses two passports. Chaitanyananda’s defence lawyer maintained that he is innocent.
