Nagaland Chief Minister, Dr Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday inspected the landslide-affected stretch of National Highway-29 at Liezocha Liezocha, Old BRTF (near temple) and directed officials to complete repairs before the Hornbill Festival.
During the inspection, De Rio discussed immediate and long-term restoration measures with officials including Kohima Deputy Commissioner B Henok Buchem and Senior Superintendent of Police Khodi Rhetso, state a DIPR report.
Possible solutions deliberated included widening of the hillside, filling of affected stretch, and seeking expert technical assessment from the Ministry, it stated.
