The Assam government-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) is currently investigating the death of singer Zubeen Garg. As part of the investigation, musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami has been detained. He was arrested on the same day the SIT raided the residences of Shyamkanu Mahanta, the organiser of the Northeast India Festival, and his manager, Siddharth Sharma.
