New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Friday (September 26) raised questions over IRS officer Sameer Wankhede’s defamation suit against Red Chillies Entertainment, Netflix, and others concerning his alleged portrayal in the Netflix series The Ba***ds of Bollywood, directed by Aryan Khan. The court sought clarity on how the suit could be maintained in Delhi.
At the hearing, Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav asked Senior Advocate Sandeep Sethi, representing Sameer, about the cause of action in the city. Sandeep argued, “Web series is meant for across cities, including Delhi. Memes are against me qua people in Delhi.”
