Salem Regional Medical Center has introduced walk-in, urgent care services in North Jackson with the launch of SRMC Urgent Care-North Jackson. The service opened Sept. 15 at 10850 Mahoning Ave., which also houses SRMC Occupational Health.

The facility offers medical care for minor illnesses and injuries that do not require an emergency department visit. No appointment is needed.

“We’re excited to expand access to urgent health care for residents of the Greater North Jackson area and provide them with an option for immediate treatment near the places they live and work,” said Anita Hackstedde, M.D., SRMC president and CEO. “SRMC Urgent Care-North Jackson is a lower-cost alternative to the emergency room for those who need timely care for nonlife-threatening medical problems,
