Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged the women of Bihar to ensure that the RJD and its allies are never allowed to return to power, alleging that their previous rule brought immense hardship, especially for women.
Virtually addressing women in Bihar from Delhi, Modi launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, a major livelihood scheme under which 75 lakh women received Rs 10,000 each to support self-employment and income-generating activities.
"Under RJD rule, women faced terrible conditions, no roads, crumbling infrastructure, and a total breakdown of law and order. Pregnant women couldn't reach hospitals during floods. There was chaos and corruption everywhere," PM Modi said.
He praised the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government for restoring law and order and prioritising women'
