MLB Notebook: Ranking Red Sox potential first-round opponents; a look at postseason roster

For the first time since 2021, the Red Sox are likely back in baseball’s postseason, headed for a Wild Card round matchup Tuesday — almost certainly on the road.

We may have to wait until Sunday to see who their first-round opponent will be, based on the results of the final weekend of plays. There remains a number of different combinations based on seeding.
