Congress Councillor Phuntsog Stanzin Tsepag has said that he was not involved in violent protests in Ladakh that killed four people on Wednesday.

His clarification came after the BJP alleged that he instigated the mob and participated in violence that targeted the offices of the BJP and the Hill Council.

In a video shared by Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, the Congress Councillor said he will file a defamation lawsuit against those who linked him with violence.

“Some people are saying that I was involved in the Ladakh violence; this is absolutely wrong. The person appearing in that video is not me. I will file a defamation lawsuit against all the people who are saying wrong things," he said.
