Eagle Rock -- A judge today allowed the wife of Weezer bass player Scott Shriner to enter a two-year mental health diversion program that could result in the dismissal of two felony charges stemming from an alleged exchange of gunfire with police who were searching for a trio of hit-and-run suspects in Eagle Rock.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Susan J. De Witt said she found that Jillian Shriner, now 52, "is eligible and suitable for diversion."

The judge ordered Shriner to comply with a number of conditions, including abstaining from illicit drugs and alcohol, continue to participate in weekly therapy sessions, undergo random drug and alcohol testing, attend at least three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a week and not own or possess any guns or knives.
