UK households are being advised to leave houseplants around their homes to prevent issues with mould. As the weather gets colder, more homes will start experiencing mould and condensation.

Mould is caused by increased moisture from condensation, which happens when the warm, damp air indoors collides with colder surfaces like walls and windows.

Condensation can also come from drying laundry indoors, showering and cooking.

With many people feeling the need to limit their heating usage due to rising energy bills, this can mean that mould issues are becoming more common in UK homes.
