CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Twenty-year-old Yosue Ramos is facing a murder charge after shooting a 16-year-old while at a sleepover over the weekend, according to an arrest report.

On Sept. 21, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported shooting at a home on East Todd Lane at around 3:30 a.m. An affidavit states that Ramos shot Jeremiah Gonzalez while he was playing video games and then left the scene in a red SUV.

Gonzalez was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A GoFundMe was started by someone who knows his family. The organizer said Gonzalez was asleep when another person at the sleepover "pulled out a gun and shot him in the face." The page said doctors informed Gonzalez's family that he wouldn't survive.
