There’s a quaint little town in Austria called Graz. At first glance, it feels almost postcard-perfect, people cycling peacefully, life moving at an easy pace. Looming over it is the Schckl Mountain, a stunning backdrop that also happens to play a starring role in the legend of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Ever since its debut in 1979, the G-Class has been built here, and it was on these very slopes that it earned its reputation for being virtually indestructible.
So, where better to build an experience centre than right here in Graz? Enter the G-Class Experience Center, a sprawling, purpose-built playground spread across acres of challenging terrain. It’s where owners, and a few lucky guests like us, come to push the G-Class to its limits. The question is: did we manage to break it?
