DUBUQUE, Iowa — A fire on Thursday night left a Dubuque home uninhabitable but caused no injuries, according to the Dubuque Emergency Communications Center. The Dubuque Fire Department responded promptly after receiving a 911 call about an oven fire at 9:57 p.m. Initial units, including Engine 3, Engine 6, and Battalion 1, arrived and saw smoke coming from the roof, prompting Battalion 1 to upgrade the response, bringing in additional resources. A total of 19 firefighters engaged in battling the blaze. Firefighters from Engine 3 and Engine 6 quickly tackled the blaze, which had intensified and blown out windows in the kitchen and living room.
