New Delhi, Sep 26: The high-profile dispute over late businessman Sunjay Kapur’s assets took a dramatic turn on Friday, with Karisma Kapoor’s children alleging that their stepmother Priya Kapur “appropriated” property and wiped out bank accounts under a “bogus” will.

During a Delhi High Court hearing on Priya Kapur’s plea to submit Sunjay’s asset details in a sealed cover, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Karisma’s children Samaira and Kiaan, objected to secrecy. “Confidentiality is a cloak under which you fritter away the assets. I need sunlight in this case because I have not been told about the assets,” he said.

Mr. Jethmalani further claimed that two bank accounts had been emptied and a 6% share in a company diverted to Priya Kapu
