Visakhapatnam,22nd September 2025,The Government of India has honored the eKhata initiative of BBMP with the National eGovernance Award 2025 at the 28th National eGov Awards ceremony.

The eKhata project, envisioned by D.K.Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister & Bengaluru Incharge Minister, was recognized for its pioneering role in digitizing property records, ensuring transparency,and strengthening citizen service delivery in Bengaluru.

The award was received by Tushar Girinath,IAS (ACS, UDD),Munish Moudgil,IAS (Special Commissioner,GBA), Smt Lakshmidevi (JC,Revenue),Suresh Babu (Sr Technical Director,NIC) and the entire eKhata team of GBA.

The award was presented by Jitendra Singh,Minister of State,PMO.
