A Brockton man was sentenced to six to eight years in state prison after admitting to playing a role in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Randolph in 2020, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s office said.
Malikai Nicholas-Taylor pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter and armed assault with intent to rob in connection with the killing of Christian Vines, of Randolph, on July 21, 2020, Morrissey’s office said. He was sentenced Thursday by Judge Michael Doolin in Norfolk Superior Court.
Vines was found shot inside a car in the parking lot at 31 Jones Terrace in Stoughton after a meeting with Nicholas-Taylor and another man, Jaylen Wallace, who prosecutors have said fired the shots that killed Vines. Wallace is scheduled to go on trial next month, court records show.
