Eco-conscious pupils are being encouraged to help in the quest to save the planet by keeping their schools and the surrounding areas clear of litter. ‌

This is the aim of Recycle Week, which runs from Thursday, September 25, until Wednesday, October 1. ‌

As part of the council’s It's Your Place campaign, it is hoped pupils will continue to do their part to make sure that litter is disposed of correctly either by recycling or using the many general waste bins provided up and down the streets. ‌

Last year, there were many projects across South Lanarkshire which saw pupils of all ages taking part in clean-up events, collecting waste thoughtlessly discarded across our communities.
