Baltimore police are investigating after a 16-year-old girl in the custody of the Maryland Department of Human Services was found dead at a hotel earlier this week.
Kanaiyah Ward was found dead at the Residence Inn by Marriott in the 800 block of North Wolfe Street on Monday. Police said her death was listed as “questionable” because there were no signs of foul play.
House Minority Leader Del. Jason Buckel spoke with WBAL’s Robert Lang regarding the incident. Buckel is calling for accountability into Ward’s death.
