Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Board’s new member is a lawyer and chairs a city committee.
Joseph Greco was sworn in on Wednesday. The provincial appointee’s term runs two years.

An Algoma University graduate, Greco was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2018. He is a partner at Willson Greco Hagan LLP. Greco is chair of City of Sault Ste. Marie’s committee of adjustments.
Mayor Matthew Shoemaker stepped down as the police board’s vice-chair. He nominated Greco to succeed him.
“ Big day for you, Joe,” said chair Nuala Kenny in reference to his joining the board and taking on a leadership role.
Greco joins the board following the resignations of John Bruno and Ian MacKenzie in July. A second provincial appointee is still to be named. Ward 4 Coun. Marchy Bruni, S
