A new digital ID will become mandatory as a means of proving individuals have the right to work in the UK under new plans announced by the Prime Minister.
Sir Keir Starmer said the new digital ID , which will be accessible on people’s phones, presents an “enormous opportunity” for the UK and will make it harder to work illegally.
