At age 11, Tim Allen lost his father in a car accident. He was unable to forgive the drunk driver responsible — until he listened to Charlie Kirk's widow's emotional eulogy .

At Kirk's Sept. 21 memorial service , Erika Kirk said she chose to forgive Tyler Robinson , the suspect charged in the fatal shooting of the conservative activist on Sept. 10. She said it was what the Turning Point USA founder would have done.

"I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do," Erika Kirk said at the funeral in Glendale, Arizona. "The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the Gospel is love."
