The Central Alberta Foodgrains Growing Project is inviting the community to a harvest lunch on Saturday (September 27) at 12:00 p.m.
The event takes place at their field, located about 4 km north of the Bentley roundabout on Highway 20, on the east side.
Attendees are to watch for signage marking the turnoff from Highway 20.
Guests are welcome to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a free lunch, while the combines begin harvesting the 72-acre canola field immediately afterwards.
All proceeds from the harvested canola and the sales of it, as well as cash donations, will go to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, a registered charity supporting people facing hunger internationally.
