Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden presidencies filed a brief at the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday expressing full-throated support for the institution Lisa Cook serves, as President Donald Trump attempts to fire her over a mortgage fraud allegation referred to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.

Former Federal Reserve Board chairs Alan Greenspan and Ben Bernanke — with Greenspan serving in that role from Presidents Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush — and former Treasury Secretaries Janet Yellen, Timothy Geithner, Lawrence Summers and Henry Paulson, are among the amici curiae, or friends of the court, who urged SCOTUS not to permit Trump to oust Cook from the board before her law
