A new three-weekly bin collection cycle is set to begin in West Dunbartonshire – triggering concerns of a surge in fly-tipping and overflowing wheelie bins. ‌

Starting from November 10, properties will still get weekly collections, but these will operate on a three-week rotation featuring two recycling pick-ups and one general rubbish collection within each three-week cycle. ‌

West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) says that every property will get a package with all necessary details, including a calendar for weekly reference and a sticker that must be fixed to your general waste bin to guarantee collection. ‌

This sticker is weather-resistant and tamper-resistant and must be positioned on the rear of your black or green general waste wheelie bin, below the handles.
