LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office will be hosting an active shooter drill at Wilson High School on Wednesday, October 1.

The drill is set to take place at the High School beginning at 10 a.m.

According to the sheriff's office, no students will be present at school on this day.

LCSO said that the drill will be as realistic as possible. Citizens nearby may hear simulated gunfire, sirens and simulated radio traffic as well as witnessing a large first responder presence at the school that day.
