Police have released a description of the car that hit and killed a woman in Northeast Portland on Wednesday night and are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver.
The fatal crash happened around 10:40 p.m. at North Marine Drive near Anchor Way, and when officers arrived they found the woman, who had been walking before the crash, dead at the scene. The driver that hit her had fled, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement.
Police have not publicly identified the woman who died.
Investigators believe that the suspect’s vehicle is likely a 2010-2016 Cadillac SRX with damage to the front bumper. They aren’t sure what color the car is.
