TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — An event protecting senior citizens from becoming victims of fraud drew crowds Thursday at the Twin Falls Library.

“It’s so easy to get scammed. And a lot of people, a lot of us aren’t educated like that,” Marleen Perry said, who attended the event.

The senior fraud and financial exploitation prevention roadshow visited Twin Falls on Thursday.

The event brought together area residents, like Perry, who’s previously been a target of scams.

“Everyone is scamming everybody, so we need to have a heads up, that’s happened to me,” she said.

The Idaho Department of Finance is putting on the Roadshow. Its goal is to educate senior citizens across the Gem state by picking four to five locations each year. This year, Twin Falls was on the list.
