A Kingston woman who served in the military for 18 years is speaking out about an alleged prank that she said not only ended her career, but has left her emotionally scarred for life.
Sandy Bridger said she first began her career in the military at the base at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa before being later being posted at 8 Wing Trenton at Canadian Forces Base Trenton.
Though she said she enjoyed her time in Petawawa, it was an incident at the air force base in Trenton that she said has now made it hard for her to even leave her home.
It was on May 2, 2024, Bridger recalled, when she was in the line crew supervisors room in building 88 on the base when a sudden explosion in the room changed her life forever.
