MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison Police Department is investigating after someone fired gunshots from a moving vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

Gunshots were reported around 4 p.m. in the 6000 block of Schroeder Road.

MPD said no one was hit by gunfire, and no property damage was found.

Officers closed down the road to collect evidence, and said they found fired shell casings. MPD is also reviewing digital evidence.

MPD has not identified a suspect.

Madison Police Department does not believe these shots fired are connected to a shooting that happened late Thursday in the 5900 block of Schroeder Road.
