Centre approves appointment of 24 new judges to Allahabad High Court

New Delhi, September 26, 2025: The Central government has approved the appointment of 24 new judges to the Allahabad High Court, following recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium earlier this month.

On September 1, the Collegium had proposed the elevation of 12 advocates and 14 judicial officers to the High Court. Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, confirmed the approval on Friday, noting that 24 out of 26 names were cleared.

The advocates appointed as judges are: Vivek Saran, Vivek Kumar Singh, Garima Prashad, Sudhanshu Chauhan, Abdhesh Kumar Chaudhary, Swarupama Chaturvedi, Siddharth Nandan, Kunal Ravi Singh, Indrajeet Shukla, and Satya Veer Singh. The names
