Over the last few years, the number of students opting for science after Class X has been rising, signalling the success of government policies. New science textbooks have been developed, and labs are being set up in schools to popularise scientific aptitude among the young.
Yet, on the ground, challenges persist, particularly in rural areas, with differences in the quality of education and access to resources.
