In response to the forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a high-level review meeting on Friday with Collectors from 17 districts to assess the State’s flood preparedness.
CM Majhi emphasised the need for precautionary measures and advised the senior officials to keep round-the-clock control rooms ready at both district and block levels.

During his visit to Jharsuguda district, the CM directed drainage engineers and other officials concerned to ensure that adequate manpower and necessary machinery are in place for quick response. He also stressed continuous monitoring of vulnerable river embankments and canals to prevent breaches.
