CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A 24-year-old has died following a multi-vehicle crash in west Charlotte earlier this week, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

The accident happened on Tuesday, Sept. 23, in the 3500 block of Sam Wilson Road. Officers responded to a serious crash involving two vehicles, a Hyundai Elantra and a Hyundai Tucson.

When police arrived, they found the Elantra badly damaged on the shoulder of the road. Inside were the driver, 24-year-old Jaquavias Deshawn Holley, and two passengers. Holley had life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The passengers had non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Tucson was not seriously hurt.

Sadly, Holley died at the hospital the following day, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, CMPD said.
