Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide substantial assistance from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to help farmers affected by heavy rains and floods in various parts of the state.

Speaking to reporters after an hour-long meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi, CM Fadnavis said, “I submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister detailing the flood situation in Maharashtra and briefed him about the damage caused due to torrential rains. I requested substantial aid through the NDRF to support affected farmers.”
