Truck stolen from fire scene
On Sept. 14 at 7:47 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle fire on B Line, south of Highway 21, in Arran-Elderslie. Investigation revealed that a blue pickup truck was involved in a collision and became engulfed in flames. The occupant of the truck fled into the bush, then reemerged to steal another truck of a nearby resident who stopped to assist. The stolen vehicle was last observed travelling northbound at a high rate of speed by a shirtless male with possible burn wounds. Police are searching for the outstanding vehicle – a black 2002 GMC Sierra with Ontario licence plate CA25996, which also has a bright silver hood and tonneau cover.
