PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – Orange Board of Education members Rebecca Boyle and Jeffrey Leikin will face challenges from first-time candidates Julie Lawrence and Chavone Taylor Nash in the Nov. 4 election.
The four candidates are vying for three seats on the board.
In email interviews, all four candidates said concerns about school funding and finances are among the most pressing issues facing the Orange Schools.
Incumbent Scott Bilsky, who has served on the board since May 2021, is not seeking re-election. His current term expires Dec. 31.
Boyle brings experience
Boyle, an Orange resident since 2006, is seeking her third four-year term on the board. She was first elected in November 2017 and served one year as board president in 2021.
