COLUMBIA, S.C. - A former South Carolina lawmaker accused of sending videos containing child sex abuse material to other people will plead guilty.

Former Republican Rep. RJ May of Lexington County was preparing to go to trial next month – facing 10 federal counts of distributing child sex abuse material.

But new court documents filed today show May will plead guilty to five of those charges – and federal prosecutors will drop the other five.
