Srinagar, Sep 26: For over a month, residents of Buchwara area of Dalgate have been reeling under drinking water shortage causing immense inconvenience to inhabitants.

A delegation from the area said that despite repeated complaints to the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department the regular water supply has not been restored for the last one month.

“As a temporary measure, residents of Buchwara, Near Masjid Sharief, adjacent to Goodwill Public High School are forced to rely on bore wells at local masjids and a temporary rubber pipeline from a tube well to meet their basic water needs. Community leaders said that these temporary arrangements are unsafe and cannot continue indefinitely, particularly for children, the elderly, and patients with medical conditions.
