A Houston-area man accused of murdering his wife almost exactly two years ago appeared in court on Friday, where he had a medical emergency and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly thereafter, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
James Anderson, 39, was charged with the murder of his wife, Victoria Anderson, who was killed on Sept. 24, 2023, according to court records. He had been out of jail on a $300,000 bond and was in court Friday to make a plea deal on his murder charge, the DA’s office said in a news release.
“Shortly after arriving in court, Anderson experienced a medical emergency,” the DA’s office wrote. “A bailiff for the court administered naloxone before EMS arrived. He was transported by the Houston Fire Depart
