Scammers are contacting people via social media and claiming to be immigration attorneys. In some cases, they are using license numbers and names of real attorneys. The scammers are requesting money to be paid under false pretenses and have reportedly provided people with incorrect legal advice.

Tips to avoid being scammed: • If someone contacts you via social media claiming to be an immigration attorney, it is likely a scam. • Anyone asking for money via cryptocurrency, gift guards, or apps is likely a scam • Anyone offering legal services for a prices 'too good to be true' is likely a scam • Look out for imposter websites.
