BOISE, Idaho — State playoff stakes soar once again during Week 5 of the high school football season as Idaho's top classifications enter the critical stage of conference play.

Boise snapped a two-game skid and earned bragging rights over rival Borah on Thursday night with a 21-14 victory. Cross-town rivalries continue at Dona Larsen Park as unbeaten Timberline meets Capital at 7 p.m. Friday.

Vallivue eyes its third-straight win against Emmett on the road, while Bishop Kelly looks to stay perfect in a 5A Southern Idaho Conference collision with Columbia. The Wildcats started 3-0 before falling 23-21 to Ridgevue last week.
